The global trade in plants and their products significantly increases the risk of introducing dangerous harmful organisms. Our reopened border inspection post checks the imported goods, with the border inspection post at Hahn Airport [HHN] or hahncargo taking over the entire phytosanitary import control.

Once the importer has submitted a corresponding application, the documents and identity are checked. This is followed by a visual or physical inspection of the goods, possibly followed by laboratory tests directly on site. Phytosanitary clearance is then granted or a measure such as treatment or rejection of the goods is ordered.
